Update on WordPress and Gutenberg Accessibility
Last year, we talked about the launch of the Gutenberg editing experience in WordPress. At the time, WPCampus, commissioned an accessibility audit of Gutenberg and released the final review to the public.
The audit showed less that Gutenberg offered a less than ideal editing experience. Since then, the WordPress team has been working on improving the accessibility of the editor and have made some good progress. At the same time, some things have slipped.
At the 2020 WPCampus Online Conference, Joe Dolson provided an update on the audit and where things currently stand. If your organization is still undecided about moving to the new editing experience, the session video is worth watching.
